A California woman who family members described online as an aspiring cosmetologist was killed after authorities said a rock was thrown through her car windshield as she was driving on the highway.
Officers and other first responders arrived at the scene at about 12:10 a.m. and not long after, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the release states. After searching the area, authorities were unable to locate any suspects, they said.

Rod Stewart’s health got in the way of a milestone performance.Earlier this week, the British pop performer, 79, called off the 200th show of his 13-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, originally scheduled for Aug. 7.Inan Instagram post, the “All for Love” singer told fans he contracted strep throat and could not take the stage.
