A 7-year-old boy and a man have died following a house explosion in the U.K. city of Newcastle.
The incident on Violet Close, Benwell took place in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday, Oct. 16, Northumbria Police confirmed in anews releasethe same day.
The little boy has since been identified as Archie York, according to theBBC,The GuardianandSky News. The BBC stated the blast happened at around 12:45 a.m. local time on Wednesday and has destroyed six apartments.

Allie Brasfield, 7, was spending time with family at Gilbert Regional Park on Monday, Sept. 16, when she fell while jogging along a canal, according toArizona’s Family.
“It didn’t hurt right away," Allie said, perNBC affiliate KNPX. Amber Brasfield, her mother, later claimed, “No one saw a snake, no one heard a rattle.”
It was not long until Allie noticed she was not feeling well. Concerned, her parents took her to multiple emergency rooms, which struggled to diagnose her.

The search for a missing girl with autism ended in tragedy this week when her body was found in the Potomac River in Maryland, authorities said.
On Monday, Sept. 2, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 1:41 p.m. local time of a missing 7-year-old who had disappeared from her home for roughly 10 minutes, accordingto a news releasefrom the sheriff.

A father of two has died and his wife was hospitalized after a tree fell on the Airbnb where they were staying in upstate New York.
The two victims were at the home in Castile around 10 a.m. local time on Friday, Aug. 2, when the “extremely large tree fell through the front of the house,” according to news releases from theWyoming County Office of Emergency Servicesand Sheriff’s Office.
