A city in Georgia is mourning the loss of a lineman after a workplace injury.
“Eric sustained a catastrophic injury this morning while working on a project on Spalding Street,” the officials wrote, adding that Granger is “in critical but stable condition at this time.”
The City of Griffin continued to ask the community to keep the loved ones of the two victims in their prayers and said they would provide updates on Granger accordingly.

A Georgia man has admitted to killing an elderly couple after luring them through Craigslist about a car nearly a decade ago.
Bud and June Runion were found fatally shot on a road in Telfair County, Ga., more than three hours from their home in Cobbs County, in January 2015, police said at the time.
Ronnie Adrian “Jay” Towns admitted to killing them and pleaded guilty to two charges of murder during a court hearing on Monday, Nov.

In astatement, the FBI’s Atlanta Division said that in May 2023 it received anonymous tips regarding online threats, including pictures of guns, to commit a school shooting at an unknown time and location. Those threats led authorities to the then 13-year-old suspect.
“The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office located a possible subject, a 13-year-old male, and interviewed him and his father,” FBI Atlanta continued in their statement. “The father stated he had hunting guns in the house, but the subject did not have unsupervised access to them.

Gerald Boyle, the Wisconsin attorney known for defending serial killerJeffrey Dahmer, has died.
Boyle’s daughter, Bridget Boyle, announced her father’s death in aFacebook post, confirming he died on Sunday, Nov. 17. Multiple news outlets, including theMilwaukee Journal Sentinel,Fox 6andWTMJ, report Boyle was 88. A cause of death was not revealed.
“A distinguished attorney, he dedicated his life to the relentless pursuit of justice,” Bridget wrote.
