Princess Dianawas once the “Dancing Queen,” and the woman who guided her passion for dance is finally sharing her story.
Anne Allan, who taught Diana in hundreds of secret dance lessons, has written a revealing new book titledDancing With Diana; A Memoir(out Sept. 10). The sessions, which continued on and off for nine years, are brought to life in this week’s issue of PEOPLE, where excerpts from the book reveal the pair’s close bond and how their time together gave Diana an outlet for her most intimate struggles.

The young men had already dug the hole in the California woods where they planned to bury the 17-year-old before they killed her.
Daniel Bezemer, 18, had feelings of jealousy about his girlfriend, Justine Vanderschoot, 17, and Bezemer and his best friend, Brandon Fernandez, 21, had decided to kill her, according to Placer County prosecutors.
The high school couple left a family dinner at Justine’s home on Labor Day 2003 and met up with Fernandez.

More than half a century after a 6-year-old boy was lured away and kidnapped while he played in an Oakland park with his brother,he was stunningly found living on the East Coast as a grandfather.
Luis Armando Albino, who was kidnapped in February 1951, was miraculously located after his niece took a DNA test that first revealed that he was possibly alive. When the FBI helped Albino travel back to California 73 years later, the long-lost boy-turned-grandfather was able to reunite with his brother, Roger, months before the latter died, theAssociated Pressreported.
