It’s a big day for Vice PresidentKamala Harrisand second gentlemanDoug Emhoff.
The couple, who have been in Chicago all week for theDemocratic National Convention, are celebrating 10 years of marriage on Thursday, Aug. 22 — the same day that Harris, 59,will make historyas the first Black woman to accept a major party’s presidential nomination.

Speaking with MSNBC’sStephanie Ruhleon Wednesday, Sept. 25, during a special edition ofAll In with Chris Hayes, the Democratic presidential nominee was asked about the last time she had to make a gut decision, given that presidents are continually forced to trust their instincts on the job.
“The biggest gut decision I made most recently was to choose my running mate,” Harris replied.
