Security officials at Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport stopped the alleged smuggler, a 28-year-old South Korean man, on Nov. 8 because his stomach appeared abnormally swollen while he was passing through security, Peru’s National Forest and Wildlife Service (SERFOR) said in apress release.
The man, who was not identified, was asked to lift his shirt, revealing two belts that had been adorned with camouflaged bags and packages containing tarantulas and other bugs, according to the wildlife service.

A man who passed a polygraph test over the 1979 murder of a 17-year-old girl in California has now been identified as her suspected killer.
On Wednesday, Nov. 20, the Riverside County District Attorney’s (DA) Office confirmed in areleasethat Lewis Randolph “Randy” Williamson had been identified as teenager Esther Gonzalez’s rapist and killer more than 45 years after her body was found dumped in a snowpack off Highway 243 near Banning on Feb.

Officials responded to a report of a boating accident in Old Saybrook around 9:15 p.m. local time on Monday, Sept. 3, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) said in an email to PEOPLE.
The department added that a single boat carrying nine people was found floating and half-submerged near the Harbor One Marina in Old Saybrook.
“There was significant damage to the boat, which struck the northern end of the east break wall at the mouth of the [Connecticut] River,” the agency said.
