Austin Wideman
When he’s not working his regular day job as an electrician in Pacific, Mo., 26-year-old Austin Wideman collects World War II memorabilia, specifically items connected to the4th Marine Division. So far, Wideman has 40 pieces of used gear, including one very notable item: a jacket with a shrapnel hole.
When he purchased the jacket online from a dealer in Gloucester, Va., Wideman had no idea he would play an important role in reuniting former Marine William Watson Holmes' battle-worn uniform with the late soldier’s family.

When theNew York City Marathontook over the five boroughs on Sunday, Nov. 3, the streets were full of pricey sneakers, fancy running shoes, and state-of-the-art footwear.
And there was also a pair of bright, red-orangeCrocs.
Kevin Leimkuhler, a 31-year-old software engineer, not only ran the New York City marathon in Crocs, but hebroke the Guinness world recordfor running a marathon in the foam shoes, finishing in 2:51:27.

A man is asking for a second opinion to determine if he’s in the wrong for not letting a friend borrow his car after she previously wrecked it.In a recent “Am I The A—–?” post onReddit, a 29-year-old man described a dilemma he’s currently facing.A few months ago, the man wrote that he lent his car to a friend, 28, for a weekend trip. “I trusted her, and I thought it would be fine,” he wrote.

A man turned to the internet after his girlfriend gifted him some homemade artwork that he didn’t love, and didn’t want to hang up.
“I agreed,” he added.
However, the Redditor said that things went south after she came over one day “and found the painting in my closet.”
