“My life has changed because of [her,]” Chmerkovskiy told PEOPLE. “And I find myself to be the best version of myself that I’ve ever been. She’s awesome.”

In April 2019, theDWTScastmatestied the knot in Rancho Palo Verdes, Calif., andcelebrated with a romantic honeymoonin Saint Lucia. Three years later, the couple exclusively revealed to PEOPLE that they wereexpecting to become parents.

The couplewelcomed their son, Rome Valentin Chmerkovskiy, in January 2023.
