The chef and recipe developer and her husbandWesley Lagawelcomed their daughterSky Larain July 2023, making Roker an official “pop-pop.” After cooking up their burgers, Wesley enters the set holding the 15-month-old, who has tears streaming down her cheeks.

“Oh, were you crying, sweetheart?” Roker asks as he takes Sky from his son-in-law. “You wanted your pop-pop. There we go,” he says while bouncing his granddaughter in his arms.

Courtney then tries feeding Sky some pudding, but she rejects the offer, pushing the spoon away with her little hand.

“I think she got scared with the kitchen aid,” Courtney jokes, referring to her stand mixer that had just exploded flour all over the counter.

On an episode ofTodayin June, Roker revealed that Courtney was pregnant with Sky when the father-daughter duo started working on their new project.

“One of the greatest moments of your life is when you realize your kid is actually good and professional. And Courtney is a great chef. So, I’m just thrilled and proud to be doing this book,” he told his co-anchors during the announcement.

The father-daughter duo’s cookbook features 100 recipes, including dishes like sunrise burritos, coffee-and-spice-rubbed pork chops, Christmas morning cinnamon rolls, bourbon apple pie milkshakes, Tuscan polenta and lemon meringue crumb crust pie.

Al shares Courtney with ex-wife Alice Bell. He is also father to daughter Leila, 25, and son Nick, 21, whom he shares withwife Deborah Roberts.
