WhenRachel Bostonisn’t winning over viewers’ hearts in the latest Hallmark movie, she’s likely at home with the ones who have hers.

She and chef Tolya Ashe got engaged in 2021 and welcomed their daughter, Grace, a year later.

“It was so wonderful, knowing that my daughter is just so loved and cared for like that. It is such a good feeling for me,” she told PEOPLE in 2022. “Then, to be making a movie every day, where I’m going to set and we have my mother in the movie coming over to check on my daughter, who’s with my actual mother, and check on me, [is special]. … We’re all looking out for each other.”

Bostonannounced her engagement to Ashe— a private chef — in an Instagram post on June 15, 2021.

“My forever love ❤️❤️❤️,” she captioned a romantic photo of the couple, simply adding “engaged” as their location.

“We actually had the classic Hallmark start where you’ve known each other for a long time, family is involved,” she said duringa joint appearance onHome & Familyin Dec. 2020, before sharing that they didn’t immediately begin dating. “But then we reconnected and it was just divine timing.”

Boston sharedthe happy news of her pregnancyon Instagram in October 2021.

She and Ashe went on to welcome their daughter, Grace, on January 14, 2022.

Over the years, Boston has shared sweet images of Grace, includingthe little girl visiting her on a Hallmark movie set in July 2022. Alongside the photo, the doting mom shared what the moment felt like for her.

“This smile!!! My favorite person came to see me at work,” she wrote. “Being a new mom while playing a mom is an incredible feeling. Thank you to our producers and crew and the entire team @hallmarkchannel for supporting women and working mothers and to @paulcampbellofficial for all the dad jokes.”

In August 2022, Boston spoke toPEOPLEabout playing an on-screen mom for the first time since becoming a real-life mom.

“It is so interesting to think back on how different I would have played certain aspects of new motherhood,” she said. “It’s just really exciting to be able to claim motherhood and be able to tell these stories now with this understanding.”
