Ally Shapiro Breaks Off Engagement with Jordan Bilfeld 2 Months After Proposal

Ally Shapiroand Jordan Bilfeld have called it quits.

The daughter ofReal Housewives of New York CityalumJill Zarinended her engagement to the VaynerMedia director just two months afterhe proposed, PEOPLE can confirm.

“After much reflection, [they have] made the difficult decision to end their engagement,” Zarin toldPage Sixin a statement, shared on Wednesday, Oct. 31. “And as a family, we are focused on supporting [Ally] through this time. We appreciate your understanding and request privacy on this personal matter.”

In September, Bilfeld exclusively told PEOPLE about how he secretly organized his surprise proposal, which followed a beachside lunch in Mallorca with Zarin. “I had this whole thing planned,” he said. “Jill let it slip the night before.”

Bilfeld and Shapiro told PEOPLE at the time that they were in the early stages of wedding planning, and hoped to host a celebration for some 300 friends and family.

Shapiro has not publicly announced the split on social media, but she has hinted at being on her own. She has scrubbed her Instagram page of any photos from her engagement party. This week, she also posted multiplevideos on TikTokof Zarin and her boyfriend, Gary Brody, helping move her into a studio apartment.Some videoswere posted to emotional music.

Most recently, sheposted a video, celebrating her upcoming birthday on Nov 1. Commenters were quick to notice her engagement ring was missing.

Meanwhile, Bilfeld has been quiet on social media, with pictures of Shapiro still onhis Instagram pageand has last post dating Aug. 15.
