“The missus was busy being brilliant this summer….. she’s a bloomin Bridget genius!” Anstead wrote alongside theBridget Jones: Mad About the Boytrailer.

He also had some choice words for Zellweger’s on-screen love interest. “Oh And Leo…,” theBorn Mechanicstar added of actor Leo Woodall, 28, “we need to quiet chat down a dark alleyway… x.”

The latestBridget Jonesinstallment stars Zellweger stepping back into the titular character’s beloved shoes as she copes with the death of Mark Darcy (Colin Firth).

Anstead and Zellweger — who share a home together in Orange County, Calif. —began datingaftermeeting on the set of Anstead’s Discovery+ showCelebrity IOU: Joyridein June 2021.

The couple keep their love life largely under wraps. The automotive expert did, however, recently discuss what it’s like to have a romance with someone as famous as Zellweger —and how “normal” she really is off-camera.

“I mean, ultimately, it is microscopically examined, I’m sure, but I don’t really think about that," he said. “She’s so incredibly normal and I often forget that she’s famous.”
