TheEmily in Pariscostars werefirst rumored to be datingin October 2023 when they were spotted holding hands atThe Hollywood Reporter’s Beauty Dinner. Though they often post photos of each other on their social media, neither publicly commented on their relationship until January 2024.

In August 2024, Park spoke fondly about Forman in a cover interview withCosmopolitan, telling the outlet that even though she had pledged to “never date an actor again,” she changed her mind after spending time with Forman.

“One of the reasons I wanted to be friends with him, and eventually fell in love with him, is that he’s so generous and kind as a coworker and a friend,” she said. “I’ve never been with a straight white male who has been more generous or better to work with on a set. Ever, ever, ever.”

Forman and Park became close when he was cast in the third season of Netflix’sEmily in Paris. He plays Nicolas de Leon, who becomes Park’s Mindy Chen’s love interest. Before going public with their relationship, the two often posted together on Instagram, sharing behind-the-scenes images from shooting the show.

In December 2022, Formanshared an Instagram carouselof himself posing with cast members likeLily Collins, Samuel Arnold and Bruno Gouery, as well as Park.

They sparked romance rumors after holding hands at a dinner party

In October 2023, Park and Forman hinted at a relationship when they held hands atThe Hollywood Reporter’s Beauty Dinner. The two arrived to the event together holding hands and stayed close the whole night.

Park — who was there to support her hairstylist Clayton Hawkins and makeup artist Jenna Nicole — introduced him to her friends and other guests. However, their reps did not comment on the relationship at the time.

They confirmed their relationship amid Park’s health scare

A few months later, in January 2024, Park opened up about a serious medical emergency she experienced when a bad case of tonsillitis turned into critical septic shock that affected several of her organs.

The pair were traveling abroad when she had to be hospitalized, and she credited Forman for helping her get through the difficult time in a sweet Instagram post.

“You calmed my fears and held me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, scary ERs, countless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain, and so much confusion all while we were alone on the other side of the world far from those we know,” she wrote. “I love you Paul. More than I can ever say.”

Forman left a comment on her post, simply writing, “My love ❤️.”

A few weeks later, Park made it clear the two were dating when she posted a photo with Forman of the two kissing and a throwback from the previous year as he pushed her in a wheelchair when she had asprained ankle at a fashion show.

“a year ago from today 🥹 @peforman annual January heroism 💪🏼,” she wrote in the caption.

Forman has been supportive of Park

After posting about her medical scare, Forman posted hissupport on Instagramas well with a photo of the two posing together and one of him holding her hand in a hospital bed.

“By your side, no matter what ❤️ @ashleyparklady,” he wrote in the caption.

Forman has also been supportive of Park in other ways, with theJoy Rideactress telling PEOPLE in her July 2023 digital cover story that her boyfriend — whose identity she did not confirm at the time — was “so supportive” of her success.

“I’ve just never been with someone so supportive,” she said. “And not supportive like, ‘Oh, that’s so cool for you,’ but who genuinely feels happiness when I do.”

She added that figuring out how to prioritize herself has helped her be more confident in the strength of her relationship.

“I was always that person who wanted to give all of myself to other people, and that’s what made me feel fulfilled,” she said. “I don’t want to be that person who is now this and is not able to be there for other people. But then I realize the people that I care about, whether it’s my boyfriend or my friends, will never penalize me for not giving all of myself to them. They want to protect me as much as I want to protect them.”

They are close with their castmates

Park and Forman have remained close with theirEmily in Pariscostars, who are gearing up for the fourth season of the show.

One of the commenters was Collins, who plays Park’s best friend and the titular role.

“I can hardly look at these without crying,” she wrote. “I love you sister and I’m forever grateful you’re on the other side of this and for @peforman for your incredibly huge heart and for being there every step of the way. I cannot wait to hug you both ❤️.”

In January 2023, Forman also gave a glimpse into the tight-knit group with abehind-the-scenes videoof the cast’s time filming season 3 in Paris, showing how they goofed off in the streets of the city and attended parties together.

“So much love for my @emilyinparis fam 💕#bts,” he wrote in the caption.

Park toldCosmopolitanthat Collins was the first to notice the chemistry between her and Forman. After taking a volunteer trip to Poland together and “watching him play chess with these children who did not have a home and acting like this father figure to them because their fathers were at war,” Park was no longer able to deny her feelings for him.

“So I had to do a littleloss-of-dignity tour.I had to be like, ‘Lily, everyone, we are so in love.’ That was about two years ago,” Park said.

They had their “first public date” at a fashion show

In February 2024, Park and Forman stepped out for their “first public date” during London Fashion Week. The ultra-chic couple sat front row at the JW Anderson runway show.
