“Sweet July Books was founded to publish fearless stories focused on empowering and celebrating women and BIPOC creators, a mission that is in perfect harmony with this incredible book,” Curry says.
Tobias, perher website, is a 2019-2021 Highlights Foundation Diversity Fellow and recipient of the 2018 Walter Dean Myers Grant. She writes stories that “illuminate the beauty within darkness, weaving meaningful tales with edge,” including her anticipated debut.
