AsHannah Neelemancontinues making a name for herself and herBallerina Farmbrand on social media, she’s also making some meaningful friendships along the way.
In September, Neeleman, 34, andNara Smith, 23,made headlines when they joined togetherfor a day of nature, family and fun on the former ballerina’s Utah property. Smith, her model husbandLucky Blue, 26, andtheir kidshung out and posed for photos with Neeleman, her husband Daniel and their family of eight.
“I obviously hadn’t met her before our visit, but I just felt like we felt like fast friends. She shared certain experiences and so did I,” Neeleman explains. “We just have a lot in common.”
The Juilliard-trained dancer points to their roles as moms and content creators as their primary points of overlap. “It was just so cool to see her strength and her resilience and a more personal light, so I loved it,” she adds of Smith, who currently lives in Dallas.

Neeleman tells PEOPLE that she and Smith offered each other advice about making their videos, since they both film and edit everything themselves. The Utah-based creator says she learned new things even just from watching her friend in action.
For example, she says Smith had a “silicone suction” attached to the back of her phone that helped her prop the device onto various surfaces, from fences to windows. “I [was] like, ‘Where did you get that? That’s brilliant,'” Neeleman recalls.
In a recent interview withThe Times of London, Smith discussed her visit to Ballerina Farm and the common comparisons between her and Neeleman.
“We were visiting my husband’s family in Utah and thought it would be fun to hang out," the mom of three told the outlet. Smith continued, “Hannah and I always get looped in together for some reason. We share similarities, like being mums and having a passion for cooking, but really we are quite different.”

Fans of Ballerina Farm — or rather, those among Neeleman’s 10 millionInstagramfollowers and 9.8 millionTikTokfollowers — saw that Smith experienced a pretty comprehensive day on Neeleman’s property. The German-South Africa model milked a cow, ate Daniel’s homemade yogurt and let her little ones run around outside with her hosts’ kids.
In the wake of Smith’srecent Fashion Week marathonin New York and around Europe, Neeleman — who wascrowned Mrs. American in 2023— says she wouldn’t at all be opposed to stepping into her friend’s fashion world. She says she’d like to attend a couture show with Smith one day, and maybe even walk a runway.
“I love it. I love the glam,” says Neeleman. “I feel like that’s one of the things I loved about pageantry, just the contrast with my life right now.”
