Green continued, “I remember I met her and thought, ‘Oh, my God. Punky Brewster’ … I was so star-struck meeting you and then, I quickly realized like ‘Oh, she’s totally normal.'”

When Fyre’s initial star power wore off, the two became “fast friends” and were “inseparable for years.” Green recalled how big teen magazines at the time would send young stars on trips to photograph them.

“It was so cool,” Frye agreed, sharing that they’d frequently go to places like Magic Mountain and Six Flags. Green also added that a lot of the footage from Frye’sKid 90documentary was from those trips and experiences.

At the time, Frye’s mother also had a catering business and would often invite all of her friends and other celebrities for “massive parties at her house.”

“We were just all these sort of kids in the business, but you know at that point, we were all sort of running amuck together,” Green reminisced before Frye added, “There was a lot of innocence at that time.”

“We had these amazing friendships and relationships because the industry was so small at that point,” he continued. “So you really became good friends with the people who were in …Kid 90, you see like[Leonardo] DiCaprio. We all legitimately hung out like four days a week at least. At least four days a week, going to like the soda pop parties.”

Their friendship soon transcended parties and Frye recalled instances where she felt like “the coolest kid” when Green would pick her up from school.

“It was amazing. Such incredible experiences and now our kids are growing up together,” she smiled. “It’s beautiful to see this.”
