A woman proved to be the Miranda to her friend’s Carrie when she threw her aSex and the City-themed bridal shower.

When Nathalie Goudy was planning a bridal shower for one of her best friends, Kylie Torres, she knew it would be a hit to make the theme their favoritetelevision show,Sex and the City.

“Kylie and I are HUGESex and the Cityfans — we quote it constantly,” Goudy exclusively tells PEOPLE. “She actually came up with theSex and the Citytheme herself, and together we went over a list of things she wanted in the shower, and I went from there!”

She added, “It was especially fun for me to plan and execute since I know the show so well.”

The video showed off all of the party details, which included New York-style pizza and fries served in mini taxi cabs and skyscrapers, pretzels decorated like cigarettes, and the tomato basil salad Charlotte encouragedTrey MacDougal(Kyle MacLachlan) to order.

Pink flyers with a photo of the bride’s fiancé plastered the walls, similar to howSex and the City’s Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) put up flyers of Richard Wright (James Remar) all over New York City after he cheated on her. But instead of having “Cheater!” and “Liar!!!” written on them, the new papers read “Fiancé!” and “The Perfect Man!!”

Also for decoration were Manolo Blahnik shoe boxes, issues ofVogue, a custom magazine cover of the bride that read “Engaged & Fabulous” and balloons that spelled out “Bride And The City.” On tables were lilac-colored roses, representing how Steve Brady (David Eigenberg) won Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) back with her favorite flowers, lilacs.

“Everyone loved the shower,” says Goudy, who noted that the party took three months to plan. “Kylie was over the moon to see it all come together and to see all of the little nods to the show scattered throughout. While not everyone attending knew the episodes as obsessively as we did, everyone thought it was a really fun and well-developed theme. Her mother-in-law actually messaged me a very sweet message afterwards.”

A playlist of songs from the hit HBO show set the mood just right.

And, of course, Carrie’s signature cosmopolitan was offered to all bridal shower attendees. Other drinks available were Samantha’s champagne, Miranda’s tonic water and Charlotte’s iced tea.

Party favors were custom matchboxes from various restaurants featured in the show.

The bride’s favorite detail was how “I BELIEVE IN LOVE” was written on the bathroom mirror in lipstick, just like how Charlotte did so in one episode to show her unyielding faith in love.

“This is now the blueprint for all futureSATCparties 🍸,” the top comment on Goudy’s TikTok video reads. Another person added, “To be loved, is to be seen 😭.”
