These bridesmaids stopped at nothing to keep their bride happy and cool on her wedding day!

When Breezi Holt, 28, got married to Khaleel Jenkins, 27, in Malibu on Oct. 5, the high temps left her sweating through her dress. Luckily, her team of a dozen bridesmaids, equipped with five handheld fans, saved the day.

“The estimated temperature was around 90 degrees during our ceremony which was HOT,” Holt tells PEOPLE.

TikTok users flooded the comment section. While some people questioned the intimate display, others described the funny scene as a “girlhood moment” and noted that Holt has some “true friends.”

Holt agrees that “it was the epitome of girlhood.” She couldn’t stop gushing over her helpful bridesmaids, which included her sisters, Malia and Kenna, as maids of honor.

Holt has advice for other brides getting married in the heat.

“BRING YOUR FANS! They were a game changer and absolutely helped all of us on the day,” she says. “I would also say to talk with your photographers prior to your wedding about a shot list because that allowed us to crank through pictures a lot faster than normal. Which in return, allowed us to get back inside and out of the heat faster.”

She continues, “I would also make sure you eat and drink enough water to make sure you are hydrated. Also make sure any rooms you are getting ready in are cooled down so you know you have a place to go when you get too hot.”

Holt and Jenkins got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2022, but the newlyweds' love story began in 2015 at California Polytechnic State University. The two were Division I athletes — Holt a basketball player and Jenkins a football quarterback.

“He was in my class with a bunch of other athletes,” Holt recalled onher wedding website. “I remember being on crutches from my knee surgery and a skinny boy with a half grown in beard offered to help me up the stairs one day. And of course, me being me, I said, ‘NO THANKS!’ and stubbornly got myself up the stairs. I ended up showing up to class late that day due to the crutches slowing me down. The professor called me out on it and Khaleel said, ‘You could have just let me help you.’ That is when he caught my eye.”

A few months later, Holt went to a party at the football house with her basketball team. That’s when her future husband pulled her aside and told her, “I will marry you one day.”

“From then on, we were inseparable,” says Holt.
