Filmed atHolywater, one of N.Y.C.’s most beloved bars, the clip depicts the foursome embracing the nautical theme of the show while performing their version of The Avett Brothers' song, which first appeared on the band’s 2004 albumMignonette.

That album is what producer Matthew Masten looked to adapt when he proposed the idea of the musical in 2014 to the band. Tony-winning writer John Logan, however, wound up pulling songs into the score from five different albums of their band’s while penning the musical’s book.

The Avett Brothers even wrote a new song, “Lord Lay Your Hand on My Shoulder,” for the show.

ButSwept Awaymoves the action to New Bedford, Massachusetts, adapting other details of the story to make it original.

Lyrics for The Avett Brothers' songs have also been changed, though “A Gift for Melody Anne” remains in tact.

“And I just want my life to be true / And I just want my song to be true / And I just want my life to be true / I want my soul to feel brand new,” they sing in the video.
