Twin sistersBrooklyn and Bailey McKnighthave been sharing their lives online for over a decade, and they’re not planning to stop as their individual lives veer in different directions.

While Brooklyn plans to continue bringing her followers along for the ride after her son arrives, she doesn’t expect to pivot completely into parenting content, especially since she and Bailey share an online presence. Their posts will continue showing both of their lives in tandem, without either sister dominating the space.

“I do think that is kind of what draws people into our content sometimes is that there are two perspectives. There are kind of two people and two lives being lived on one account,” Brooklyn tells PEOPLE. “If someone can’t necessarily relate to the place that I am at right now having kids and kind of that experience, then they probably can relate to Bailey and her just being married and having fun and traveling and doing all these fun things.”

The McKnight sisters are also keenly aware of their viewership, and since starting on YouTube in 2013, they’ve watched their followers grow up alongside them. Brooklyn says that when she got pregnant, she felt like “a portion of our audience” did as well.

“We’re all going through these experiences together,” she explains. When it comes to their social media activity, the soon-to-be parent is primarily concerned with “maintaining that realness” that’s brought in millions of subscribers and followers over the years.

“It’s still going to have reminiscent pieces of what was before and it’s going to have new pieces of what it’s now, and it just kind of is always ever-changing. But that’s the fun part about our content,” Brooklyn adds.

While Bailey has yet to become a mom herself, she says she’s excited to become an aunt and tell that side of the story online.

“You can be a mom and still have different hobbies or you could be someone without kids and have nephews and nieces that you love and interact with a lot. It’s really an interesting mix. Our audience knows … it’s two different lives” Bailey tells PEOPLE. “I do content that’s relatable to my life. Brooklyn does content that’s relatable to hers and we’re part of each other’s lives.”

Still, as confident as the influencers feel about sharing their slip-ups and mistakes on the internet, Brooklyn says she and her husband are already setting some boundaries when it comes to sharing their son’s life online.
