Two brothers in Colorado are devastated after their parents and two sisters were killed in a car crash over the weekend.
The Thornton Police Departmentsaid in a news release shared on X(formerly known as Twitter) that a speeding Subaru struck the Ford SUV carrying the four victims around 7:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, Oct. 26, “causing the gas tank to rupture and catch fire. A third vehicle, a Chrysler van, was also struck.”
Meanwhile, police said the driver of the Subaru suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. The Chrysler driver was uninjured. The crash is under investigation.

“It just didn’t feel real. I was really just hoping it was a nightmare,” he added.

“[It’s difficult] knowing this time that I’m gonna go out and get home, [and my mom’s] not gonna be waiting for me,” Daniel told the station.
AGoFundMehas been set up to help the brothers with funeral expenses and more. As of Tuesday, Oct. 29, the fundraiser has raised over $67,000.
The organizer wrote, “In the midst of their unimaginable grief, these two young survivors need our help to ensure they are supported during this challenging time.”
