CouldCardi B’s sophomore record be coming sooner than we think?
On Saturday, Aug. 17, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper, 31, shared an important update about her highly anticipated sophomore album. According to the hip-hop star, the album cover has been shot.
After a fan shared a gif onX (formerly known as Twitter)of a person standing on the edge of a helicopter holding a bag with the caption, “I’m on my way to France to see if I can find cardi the Hermes bag that she wants 😆@iamcardibI got you sis,” Cardiquote tweetedthe post writing, “If you find me the bag I’ll release my album cover.”
A fan realized what the “WAP” artist had actually revealed about her upcoming album andtweeted, “So the album cover is ready is what I’m hearing,” alongside an image ofZendayaholding her hand to her ear at aEuphoriared carpet premiere.
“Album covers are taken ….I just don’t know which to pick,” Cardireplied in a quote tweetto the user.
The hip-hop star has taken some heat about her long-delayed sophomore album in recent months, which she has addressed.
When the topic of her sophomore album surfaced during the episode, host Joe Budden, 43, said, “We’ll never get another Cardi album again. I am standing on it.”
In response to the criticism, the “I Like It” hitmaker sharedon said in a clip shared on Xwhere she said, “I don’t give a f— when people talk s— about me. It’s the fact youalwaystalk s— about me, Joe Budden. Out of nowhere, you would think I did something to this n—-… For the past two years, this n—- has only talked bad things about me, constantly.”
She also alleged that the host compares her to other female rappers “every five, six months” and only ever offers criticism for her singles.
