Cate Blanchett’s upcoming psychological thrillerDisclaimeris teasing lots of drama.

In the teaser, several moments from the limited series are briefly shown as Blanchett can be heard telling the audience, “Beware of narrative and form. Their power can bring us closer to the truth.”

“But because of our own deeply held beliefs and the judgments that we make, they can also be a weapon with a great power to manipulate. Ladies and gentleman, be aware,” Blanchett could be heard saying as the final scene showed a man and a woman holding hands as they stood in an ocean while waves crashed into them.

Two teaser posters were also released showing Blanchett and Kline staring intently into the camera within an asterisk sign over a white background.

However, when she “receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets,” and thus “races to uncover the writer’s true identity.”
