Channing Tatumis finding a bit of humor in a recurring travel experience.

TheBlink Twicestar, 44, opened up about how one of his famous movie lines from22 Jump Streethas turned into a meme and follows him everywhere — even airport security — during an interview withCinemaBlendand his co-starNaomi Ackieon Aug. 21.

“It’s weird what happens in pop culture like that, you know? Same with ‘My name is Jeff.’ It’s such a small moment in the movie,” he says of the 2014 comedy. “I remember we did a table read and it wasn’t even that funny at the table read. It was like whatever. And all of a sudden, man.”

Ackie then chimes in, “It goes to show you can’t try and be a meme. You’ve just got to be, and then if the meme comes, the meme comes.”

Tatum goes on to share how the famous quote is even brought up when he’s going through security at the airport.

Earlier in August, the actoropened up about another funny travel story— but this time, it stemmed from his 11-year-old daughter’s love of the paranormal.

During an appearance onLate Night with Seth Meyers, Tatum recalled taking his daughter Everly, whom he shares with ex-wifeJenna Dewan, on a trip to Salem, Mass. as she’s “obsessed” with witches.

“She’s been wanting to go to Salem maybe for the last seven years of her life,” he said of the New England town known for its infamous witch trials. “And we get there, and I’m like ‘Maybe this will be one of those moments where she’s like ‘Oh, it’s not what I thought.’ You know?”

He continued, “It’s like the idea of going to Egypt, and thinking that there’s just mummies walking around all the time. And I was like, ‘Maybe she will just be, like, kind of less mesmerized.’”

Despite his hope, Tatum said his daughter was really “leaning in” to all the spooky activities once they arrived, including during their stay at Salem’s “haunted” Hawthorne Hotel.

“They were like, ‘Don’t go to the third floor or the sixth floor,’” Tatum recalled the hotel staff’s warning at the time. While the actor was fully prepared to follow their advice, he said Everly couldn’t stay away from the haunted floor.

“My daughter was just like, ‘Let’s just go up there a little bit. Like, let’s just go up and walk up the stairs and, like, look for a second and then run back down,'” he said.

“No. I’m not about it. I’m like, ‘You go up there,’” Tatum told hostSeth Meyers, shaking his head emphatically.
