Charlie Hunnam to Play Serial Killer Ed Gein in Season 3 of Ryan Murphy’sMonster

Charlie Hunnamis the latest star ofRyan Murphy’sMonsterseries.

TheSons of Anarchyactor, 44, is set to play the role of serial killer Ed Gein in the third season of the show.

Murphy announced the news atthe Los Angeles premiere ofMonsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Storyon Monday, Sept. 16, with production set to begin in October.

According toVariety, Gein — who was from Wisconsin — became popular in the 1950s after he was found to have killed multiple people and dug up graves near his home. He then used the corpses to make household items and clothing.

Hunnam’sMonsternews comes ahead of the show’sseason two global premiere on Thursday, Sept. 19, which follow brothersLyle and Erik Menendez, who killed their parents José and Kitty Menéndez in 1989.
