Chicago MedStar Torrey DeVitto and Director Jared LaPine Marry Ahead of Welcoming Their First Baby

LaPine shareda poston his Instagram Stories on Sunday, Sept. 15, featuring a photo of the newlyweds smiling at their wedding, as their loved ones looked on in the background. The couple’s friend Brittany Mychael also shareda poston her Instagram which included a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the intimate nuptials.

Another sun-filled photo captured DeVitto and LaPine holding hands during their ceremony, which took place in a garden.

Brittany also included shots of the rustic reception venue — which appeared to be a barn with soaring wood rafters — a spread of food and guests mingling and dancing together.

She captioned the post, “An incredible amount of love this evening and just as much fun. ♥ Congratulations Torrey + Jared!”

It was first reported that the pair wasengaged in September 2023. Devitto revealed that LaPine popped the question to her over Labor Day weekend that year, sharing in a post on Instagram at the time that he proposed to her while they were out for a stroll on a farm.

“Earlier this month at 5 p.m. on a weekday while walking the back trails at the farm, still in my PJs and goat boots, he got down on one knee, in what I hoped wasn’t poison ivy, and asked for forever,“ DeVitto wrote in theInstagram post. “My answer was obvious. ❤️🔒."

The couple first went Instagram official in June 2023, when DeVitto shared photos of her and her now-husband on a trip to Michigan. The same month, LaPine posteda photo of the pair on his Instagramwith the caption, “Enter Cheesy/Sappy line here.” DeVitto replied to the post: “I love us.”

In the lead-up to the wedding, the actresscelebrated her bachelorette partywith a group of friends at a summer camp in Tonica, Ilinois. DeVitto’sChicago Medcostar Marina Squerciati, who was in attendance at the celebrations, shared photos of the occasion on Instagram.
