Chris Evanshad a sweet reaction toRyan Reynolds’ shout-out!
“Damn it. There’s something in my eye ❤️,” theKnives Outstar wrote. “There may be an ocean of Chrises, but only one Ryan Reynolds. And he gives the BEST gifts. This one is gonna be tough to beat.”

“On the other hand, it wouldn’t have been necessary if he hadn’t run his fat-a– mouth around Cassandra,” he said, referring to Emma Corrin’s villainous character in the film. “Or if she hadn’t zip-zapped his skin, leaving his organs to splash crudely onto the ground, while the soil greedily drank his blood. It was horrible.”
Finishing his tribute, Reynolds added, “Jonathan Lowell Spencer Storm: We love you. Wherever you are, I’m sure you’re thriving. #FlameOff 🧯#DeadpoolAndWolverine ❤️⚔️|/💛.”

Evans previously opened up to PEOPLE about hisDeadpool & Wolverinecameo, which he saidhe agreed to with zero hesitation.
“It was a couple years ago and I got a text from Ryan [Reynolds], we’re buddies,” Evans told PEOPLE. “He just said, ‘Listen, if you don’t like this idea, no worries whatsoever. But I have something that could really bring the house down and would let you play a character from your past.’ "
Because it was Reynolds asking, Evans said, it was a no-brainer.
“I mean, honestly, I would do anything Ryan asked,” he said. “He gave me a great cameo inFree Guyalready, and I just trust him completely. So the chance to be Johnny again, I couldn’t pass up. I loved it. It was fun to shoot, fun to watch, all of it.”
