Country Singer Joshua Ray Walker Says His Colon Cancer Has Spread to His Lungs: 'The Odds Have Shifted'

Joshua Ray Walker revealed that his cancer has unexpectedly spread and he has launched a GoFundMe page as his treatment continues.On September 10, the country singer — who was diagnosed withcolon cancerlast year — posted a health update onInstagram, sharing that the disease has spread to his lungs and his prognosis isn’t great.“I’ve got some good and bad news to deliver,” he began. “The good news is that I’ve finished chemo treatment! It was extremely tough, and I want to thank y’all so much for supporting me through this experience. My body handled it reasonably well, and I’ve begun to rebuild my strength and immune system!”“The bad news is that upon the completion of tests to check on the status of my cancer post treatment, multiple nodes of varying sizes were found in both my lungs,” he said.Walker explained that before starting chemotherapy, he was told he had a 90% chance of having clear tests following treatment. Because of that, he said he wasn’t prepared to learn there was a completely new growth in a new organ.“This unfortunately means my cancer will likely be restaged to stage 4,” he continued. “I will get a lung biopsy, and start radiation soon.
