“This was our second pregnancy that the test was actually wrong! We did an at-home blood test and sent it in at 16 weeks. We did a small gender reveal with family and that was about it,” Sarah shares.

When it came time for Sarah to deliver, nothing went quite according to plan.

“The delivery was wild cause she came really fast and our midwife actually missed the birth. So I was in our tub when she was born and my husband was there with one leg in the tub, ready to help cause she was coming whether we were ready or not,” Sarah shares.

“It was funny trying to explain to our 2-year-old son that the brother we’d been preparing him for was actually a sister,” she laughs.

The family also had fun sharing the news with extended family.

“When we were like ‘Surprise! It’s a girl!’ everyone was freaking out!” Sarah says. “We really got a kick out of FaceTiming family and friends when we finally got a bow for her little head and everyone’s faces were just pure shock. It was really fun and exciting.”
