Kamryn Beck is married!

“From the instant we drove up from the road, the ambience was incredibly timeless and romantic,” she says of the historic Victorian mansion set on 22 acres of manicured and native gardens. “We knew that if we could love a space that much in the rain, if we were blessed with perfect weather that it would be even more magical.”

To execute their vision of an “end-of-summer garden party,” they incorporated lots of pops of yellow, from the bridesmaid dresses to décor accents featuring lemons. Event planning and floral design companyBurke & Poppycreated extravagant floral structures and tablescapes to set the elegant scene.

Beck says, “We knew that the day was going to come and go, and we would miss it when it was gone, so we tried to soak up every bit that we could.”

Their families stepped up to help in a big way, including Beck’s mom, who used the skills she honed sewing her daughter’s dance costumes to hand-make linen floral napkins for the wedding. “It was so special having a piece of her magic with us,” the former reality star says.

A lifelong friend of Beck’s family officiated the ceremony, and Alenovitz’s sister, who served as matron-of-honor, had the honor of declaring the couple husband and wife. While not everything went perfectly to plan, Beck says it only made the moment that much more special.

“We messed up words, we laughed, we cried and most importantly were us. It felt so real and authentic,” she tells PEOPLE.

The newlyweds shared their first dance to theJustin Bieberhit “Lifetime,” and Beck also did a father-daughter dance with her dad. Then came a special surprise for her mom.

“All of my sisters danced with our mom at their weddings. I had to keep the tradition going, so I surprised her with our special song,” Beck explains. “My mom means the world to me, and our relationship is like no other. She’s my best friend, truly. To honor our close bond, we invited all of the mother-daughter pairs in attendance to join us halfway through.”

She adds of the emotional moment, “There was not a dry eye in the room!”

Looking back on her wedding, Beck tells PEOPLE the experience was “an absolute fairytale” from start to finish.

Beck and her now-husband first met through a mutual friend in 2019 and spent six months slowing getting to know each other before making their relationship official in August of that year. “We both knew that this relationship was special and wanted to make sure that we were being intentional, and building a friendship foundation before taking the next step. We knew once we started, it was going to last,” Beck says.

Alenovitz popped the question on Christmas Day in 2021 in the backyard of his family home. “There was no one else around, just him and me,” Beck recalls, explaining, “We are a very personal couple and wanted to have a very intimate moment that was completely focused on just us. He planned and created the perfect moment.”

Now, Beck says she and her husband are looking forward to a new chapter together filled with lots of travel and other adventures. “We want to take a few years just to be us and soak up every bit of married life,” she tells PEOPLE. “Chandler has always and continues to bring out the best in me, and we are so excited for a lifetime of growing, challenging and inspiring each other.”

Befitting their Italian-inspired wedding, the couple has planned a 10-day honeymoon to Switzerland and Italy to celebrate their newly married status.
