Demi Mooredoesn’t see dating as a priority at the moment.
Speaking withThe Guardianin a new interview published on Saturday, Sept. 14,The Substancestar revealed that her work has largely been her focus as her first new film in two years arrives in theaters this month.
“Do I date?” Moore asked, repeating the interviewer’s question. “I don’t know. It’s not really been where my focus is, I’ll say that. Particularly in the past four, five years, my focus has been to lean into my work.”
Moore, 61, then said that she ultimately wanted to focus more on her craft after she “chose not to work” for a “long” time.
“It’s not about not being interested in dating," she added. “It’s more about realizing that I’m now in a place that’s much more about choice as opposed to feeling that there’s any kind of lack.”

After elaborating that she feels women are “in many respects hardier” and “stronger,” Moore said that women are also “often” caretakers.
“So, I think as we get to that place of greater independence and freedom in our later years, I don’t know if we … seek to take on the responsibility of others. We have, for the first time, real room to move without the weight of others,” she said, adding that she also enjoys “being with others” and has “full faith, because I think we’re a communal species.”
