Derek Hough Reveals Plans to Expand Family with 'Miracle' Wife Hayley Erbert 9 Months After Her Emergency Surgery

Derek Houghis getting excited about the possibility of becoming a dad.

TheDancing with the Starsjudge, 39, recently revealed toE! News, that he and wifeHayley Erbert, 29, are looking forward to expanding their family dance crew with a few little ones.

“We definitely want to have a family eventually,” he told the outlet. “We’ll see what’s in the cards, what’s on the horizon. Little dancing children running around.”

While excited for the future, Hough is also appreciating the present with Erbert, who underwent anemergency craniectomyin December 2023 after being hospitalized with a cranial hematoma — when blood collects in the skull.

In the post’s caption, Hough reflected on the ups and downs that he and his “beautiful wife” have faced over the past year.

“This past year has been a journey filled with so many challenges, blessings, difficulties and triumphs,” Hough wrote to his wife. “Through it all, your grace and beauty have shone brightly, reminding me every day of how blessed I am to walk this path with you.”

“But above all, this year has been a testament to the power of love — our love. Love truly conquers all,” he continued. “Here’s to many more years of facing life together, with love leading the way.”

Hough concluded his sweet anniversary message: “I love you more than words can express. Happy Anniversary ❤️.”
