It’s about to be aFrozenwinter come 2027!
The third installment in the hit franchise will be released in theaters on Nov. 24, 2027, in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The news comes over a year after Disney CEOBob Igerannounced plans to have Elsa (Idina Menzel), Anna (Kristen Bell), and their friendsreturn forFrozen 3during a call with investors in February 2023.
This is the first update fans have received about the animated musical franchise since Iger shared in November 2023 that aFrozen 4is also in the works.
Both installments will come over a decade since the firstFrozenfilm hit theaters in 2013. Its sequel,Frozen 2, arrived six years later in 2019.

Another thing on the horizon for theFrozenfranchise is the upcoming Disney+ debut ofits stage adaptation.
