A limited number of guests will soon be able to take advantage of Disney’s newest Lightning Lane pass — but it comes at a hefty price.
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the company announced the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass, which will give guests one-time, skip-the-line access to every attraction with a Lightning Lane at their U.S. parks.
Unlike the existing Lightning Lane offerings, which Disney says will continue to be offered, Premier doesn’t require users to book a time to ride in advance. Pass holders can simply walk up to the ride and enter the Lightning Lane, per theirwebsite. They will be offered in “very limited quantities,” Disney says, in order to not disrupt the current Lightning Lane system or have rides be overrun.
While the pass sounds like a golden ticket to fans of the parks' most popular attractions, the pricing has raised some eyebrows.

At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Premier Pass will cost anywhere from $129 to $449 per person (before tax) depending on the date and the theme park. That price is on top of the cost of a park ticket and will only work at the theme park selected: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom.
Disney World will begin rolling out the pilot program on Wednesday, Oct. 30 only for guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts and other select hotels on property. Guests can purchase the pass up to one week before their resort stay.

At Disneyland Resort in California, the program will launch on Wednesday, Oct. 23. It will include access to Lightning Lane attractions at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
The Disneyland pass will cost $400 per person through Dec. 31, which encompasses their peak Halloween and holiday seasons. In 2025, the pass will range from $300 to $400 depending on the date selected. Prices will be available in the Disneyland app two days before a guest’s park visit.
Unlike at Disney World, any guest with a park ticket and reservation is eligible to purchase the pass.

The pass also offers additional perks at both Disney World and Disneyland, including photo downloads and the ability to unlock Disney PhotoPass Lenses.
For other popular rides, visitors can use a regular Lightning Lane multipass, which is a flat fee for the whole day and can be applied to many more rides like Jungle Cruise, Space Mountain, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. The price varies depending on the park and date, but start around $15.
Both theme parks already offer other Lightning Lane passes, including the Single Pass and Multi Pass that requires guests to book an arrival window for attractions in order to save time and wait on shorter lines.
