Finn Wolfhard Recalls a Ghost Encounter He Had While FilmingIt: 'It Was Pretty Scary' (Exclusive)

A scary clown wasn’t the only fright thatFinn Wolfhardand his costars had to face while filmingIt.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE tied to his partnership withRingfor itsGreat Ghost Search, the actor, 21, recalls potentially seeing a spirit on the set of the 2017 horror film.

“We went up to the top floor and there was one room where we saw a guy in black just kind of doing electrician work, and we were just like, ‘Okay, that’s just a crew member,’ " he continues. “But then later, we found out that no one knew who that was, and no one ever saw him again.”

“It could have been someone just messing around, but, yeah, it was pretty scary,” adds the star — who has appeared in other horror-based projects, includingStranger Things,The TurningandThe Addams Family, plusGhostbusters: AfterlifeandFrozen Empire.
