Gavin DeGrawis still keeping up with his pals fromOne Tree Hill.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE at Fox News’All-American Christmas Tree Lightingceremony, the “Chariot” singer, 47, opened up about reuniting with theOne Tree Hillcast at the show’s21st anniversary celebrationin September.

“Everybody’s really cool. We still all keep in touch here and there, which is nice,” said DeGraw, who performed on Fox News' live broadcast ofThe Fiveahead of the fifth annual lighting of the Christmas tree, which also benefited the First Responders Children’s Foundation.

He added that he enjoyed catching up withSophia Bushand other former costars likeBethany Joy Lenz, whom he sang with at a recent reunion celebration. He shared, “The blood is good there.”

While DeGraw isn’t a part of a cast group chat, he revealed, “Every now and again someone will reach out and say, ‘Hey, man, you know, we’re gonna get together and there’s gonna be this or that and you know,’ and you go, ‘That’s very cool. Let’s do something.’”

One Tree Hillran for nine seasons from 2003 to 2012. DeGraw’s “I Don’t Want to Be” famously became the drama’s theme song and the singer made cameos during the show’s run.

The reunion came a month after Bush andHilarie Burtonconfirmed their plans forto reboot the hit 2000s seriesin August.

“What if you really can go back home?” the actresses wrote in a joint message in separate Instagram posts. “If there’s an opportunity to team with brilliant creatives and build a space where all our friends can show off their talents? Own our history? Reclaim our turf? Honor our fans? Sign us up.”

The pair then addressedOne Tree Hillfans, writing, “There’s only one Tree Hill, after all. And you — the #OTHfam — have shown us that it’s not just an idea. It really is the place where everything’s better and everything’s safe.”

When asked if he’d return for the revival, DeGraw also told PEOPLE that he’s “heard the talk” and “of course, I’d say yes.”

“That’s part of my history, that’s part of my story at this point,” he added.
