Gina Torres' Daughter 'Doesn't Watch' Her Shows but Knows, 'My Mom's a Boss' (Exclusive)

The9-1-1: Lone Staractress' daughter, Delilah Fishburne, 16, tells PEOPLE andEntertainment Weeklyat the76th annual Primetime Emmy AwardsRed Carpet Live show that she “doesn’t watch” her mother’s lauded acting roles.

“To be honest, as much I do love my mom, I don’t really watch her shows,” Delilah says of her mother, who was tapped to be a presenter at the awards show. “Just because I can’t really see anyone else but mom.”

Although she doesn’t actively watch her mothers' work, which has included roles inSuits,Pearson,Gossip Girl,The Vampire Diaries,Bonesand dozens others, Delilah still recognizes Torres' respected position in the industry.

“Not saying you’re not talented, because I mean, you’re here,” she jokes. “I think honestly, I wouldn’t really have to watch a show with my mom in it to know that my mom’s a boss.”

Delilah is the daughter of Torres andLaurence Fishburne, whosplit in 2016after 14 years of marriage.

The former couple welcomed Delilah, their first and only child together, in June 2007. The teen has often been seen attending premieres and events with Laurence.

On June 12, 2022, she and Laurence held hands while wearing matching yellow outfits on theTony Awardsred carpet, and the following day, she attendedThe Cave of Addulampremiere atTribeca Film Festivalalongside her dad.

At the time of Torres and Laurence’s split, the actress shared in a statement to PEOPLE that they would “continue to raise our daughter together with love and joy and awe.”
