“I remember exactly where I was—in this cafe in Enid, Oklahoma—when I saw a picture of him,” he explained. “I was very desperate to get Brisket. I made this video, I called anyone this adoption place I followed on Instagram.”
Powell “made a very hard, hard push for Brisket” and traveled back to Los Angeles during theTwistersproduction to ensure he could take the pup home.
“I really felt the need to be a dog dad when I was in Enid, Oklahoma, so I almost named him Enid,” he said. “But I’m glad I didn’t name him Enid. Brisket is a very fitting name for him.”

Powell told the outlet he also refers to the small pooch as “Brisky, but a lot of people call him Brisky Business,” adding, “He’s a party, so it makes sense."
Powell joked that because Brisket is a social butterfly, his catchphrase would be: “Oh, friend!”
“He’s just super social. He’d be like, ‘Hey, what’s your name?’ sort of vibes. ‘Hey, I’m Brisket, nice to meet you.’ ” he said, adding, “The thirstiest kid on the first day of school freshman year; he’s the runt and desperate to make friends. That’s probably the vibe.”
