GREY’S ANATOMY - “Everything has Changed” – After a long six months, Grey Sloan Memorial has reinstated its residency program. A group of talented and striving young interns has been recruited as the attending surgeons work to rebuild the program to its former glory. Meredith, still functioning as the interim chief, sees Nick for the first time since she rejected his offer to move to Minnesota. Meanwhile, Bailey tells Richard she is not ready to return to work; Levi works up the courage to break disappointing news to Jo, and things turn awkward when Link realizes he has met one of the interns already. With Amelia and Maggie’s help, the new doctors are thrown into their first day on the job dealing with injuries from a recent tornado on the season 19 premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, OCT. 6 (9:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on ABC. Camilla Luddingtonis teasing that it won’t be smooth sailing for Jo and Link after he discovered her pregnancy in the season 21 premiere ofGrey’s Anatomy.

On the Sept. 26 episode of the hit ABC medical drama, Jo admitted that she panicked about telling her boyfriend Link (Chris Carmack) that she was pregnant while her pal Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli) nearly spilled the beans twice during the episode.

However, Link soon realized that she was, in fact, pregnant after she turned down fries and wine. Of course, he was over the moon about the news and the pair shared an emotional hug.

Now, Luddington, 40, tells PEOPLE that things get “a little more challenging” for the pair as “more news gets revealed” around the pregnancy.

She notes that viewers should be prepared for nothing about the pregnancy “to be wrapped up in a nice, cute bow anytime soon.”

However, Luddington notes that the storyline “ends up being sort of a separate storm” from Jo on season 21 ofGrey’s Anatomy.

“I think that she’s caught up in her own tornado of emotions and hormones and relationship things and navigating family and extended family,” she shares. “I think that that is really where she lies in that situation. But you definitely see these things really affect other characters on the show.”

After firing some of Grey Sloan’s best, Catherine continues to interfere with Meredith and Amelia’s research. Accidents at a climate change protest bring unique cases to the hospital, and Bailey encounters a blast from the past.

Luddington — who hosts the advice podcastCall It What It Iswith her former costarJessica Capshaw— also shared what words of wisdom she would give her character as she continues to navigate her pregnancy throughout the season.

“I think that she needs to be kinder to herself as a mom,” she shares. “And I do really believe in the village that everybody needs. And I don’t think I realized what that meant until I had children. I think that she needs more help.”

“And so I would advise her to reach out for more help whether it means someone helping do the… Whatever that means for her in her day-to-day life to just help her feel more present and less stressed, I think do it,” she adds.
