Del Toro said he “always” stays in the “most haunted rooms” in hotels, but he had only once experienced “anything supernatural.”

On Thursday, Aug. 22, del Toro provided an update. Nothing had happened yet, but the room had an “oppressive” atmosphere and he no longer wished to stay in that room.

“It may be suggestion, but at this point I kept it but am sleeping in another room — I need 6 hours of sleep to have a good shooting day — Im stopping there early and late in the day — but something is in that room with me,” hewrote. “If anything happens or Nothing does expect one or two more updates.”

After he finished filming on Thursday, del Toro returned to the room. “The room has more than vibes,” hewrote. “There is something angry and territorial there. A shred of rage.”

Before leaving the room though, del Toro shared two photos, including a self-portrait with specks from a mirror clouding his image.
