On Wednesday, Aug. 21,Zumacame out on stage with Rossdaleat his band’s New Jersey concert. As the teenager joined his dad, Rossdale had the crowd sing “Happy Birthday” to him in honor of his 16th birthday.

In the center of the stage, Rossdale had a cake wheeled out, as well as gold “16” balloons for Zuma, who gave his dad a sweet hug at the end of his birthday song.

Zuma later joined in and played guitar alongside Rossdale as his band Bush played their hit song “Comedown.”

Before he walked out on stage, Shelton introduced his stepson, with the two wearing matching cowboy hats. Ina fan video, Zuma could be seen sitting down as Shelton adjusted his microphone and went, “This is him, everybody!”

In the video, the “God’s Country” singer stood to the side as Zuma covered Zach Bryan’s song “Oklahoma Smokeshow,” sitting on a stool while singing and playing the guitar.
