Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, Lisa and Benson Boone Set to Perform at 2024 MTV Video Music Awards

On Wednesday, Aug. 21, it was announced thatHalsey,Lenny Kravitz,LisaandBenson Boonewould be added to the lineup of performers on Sept. 11 at New York’s UBS Arena.

Halsey is set to perform a song from their forthcoming fifth album, while Kravitz will make his long-awaited return to the awards show, where he will play live at the event for the first time in 25 years. The “Fly Away” hitmaker, 60, also scored a nomination for best rock this year.

Earlier this month,Chappell Roan,Sabrina Carpenter,Camila Cabello,GloRillaandRauw Alejandrowere also announced as performers.

Each of the first round of announced performers isnominated at this year’s VMAs, and Carpenter leads the pack with six nods — including artist of the year and song of the year for her hit “Espresso.”

The 2024 VMAs features 29 first-time nominees, including Carpenter, Roan, Alejandro,Tyla,Jelly Roll,Sexxy Red,Victoria Monétand more.

It was also announced thatKaty Perrywill receive the Video Vanguard Award, joining the ranks of icons who have won the coveted award named afterMichael Jackson.

The 2024 VMAs was originally set to air on Sept. 10 but have since moved to the following day to avoid clashing with theU.S. presidential debatebetween Vice PresidentKamala Harrisand former PresidentDonald Trump. The show will also recognize the 23rd anniversary of 9/11.
