Having car trouble? Maybe The Fonz can help!

On the Oct. 25 episode ofThe Drew Barrymore Show,Henry Winklerjoined hostDrew Barrymorefor a chat, which included a round of “Fast Five” questions about his iconicHappy Dayscharacter, Arthur “The Fonz” Fonzarelli.

But instead of the host questioning Winkler, 78, live on the show’s set, Barrymore threw to pre-recorded video of herself dressed as The Fonz, asking the questions in character.

First up, Barrymore-as-Fonzie wanted to know what Winkler thought his character would be up to in 2024.

“Good question. What would he be up to? He would own a franchise of garages. That’s what I’m thinking,” Winkler said of his lovable greaser character, who worked as a car mechanic on the beloved sitcom.

Winkler also had some advice for “The Fonz” on “how to treat a lady.”

“When Fonzie jumped the shark, did you know it?” Barrymore-as-Fonzie asked.

“No, nor did I care,” Winkler explained, “because we were number one for many years after that. And you know, at that time there were newspapers, people read newspapers and they would — every time they mentioned ‘jump the shark,’ they had a picture of me water skiing. And at that time I had great legs.”

Drew-as-Fonz’s final question was more of a request, asking Winkler to turn on a jukebox the way his character did onHappy Days. This prompted Winkler to remind the host that he’d done the same thing on the 2024 Emmys, whenhe and costar Ron Howard appeared together onstagein a replica of theHappy Daysset to mark the show’s 50th anniversary.

“I had 45 seconds with Ron Howard and we were in Arnold’s,” he recalled. “Fifty years of chemistryshot back into the room like it was yesterday.”
