Holland Taylor Defends Her 2024 Emmys Look After TikToker Criticizes Her Brooches: ‘Bought by My Mother’

Holland Tayloris happy to be wearing her brooches, thank you very much.

“I really don’t like when people have brooches on both sides of the lapel. Keep it asymmetrical,” TikTokerNicky Campbellsaid of Taylor’s accessories in avideo shared to Instagram and TikTokon Sept. 16.

The actress — who was nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series forThe Morning Show— responded to Campbell’s opinion with class.

The term“paste” is used to describe jewelrycrafted from flint glass that has been made to imitate the look of gemstones.

Upon seeing Taylor’s explanation, Campbell posted on his Instagram Stories, “Eating my words! The double — clips — are approved.”

Lisa Ann Walter, who wore a white gown with silky chartreuse fabric wrapped around the silhouette, joked that it was “an honor to be groaned at” when all her look got was an “Ugh.”

“I don’t always hit, but I felt gorgeous in this. And for a woman my age who doesn’t want to [go on]Ozempicor starve to still look this fierce… I served. He’s delightful though. Maybe if I put on another 20 pounds, he’d be more generous.”

Complementing her partner’s monochromatic Louis Vuitton look, Paulson, 49, wore a royal blue Prada column dress with a black mini train and white bow on the back. She also wore pointed-toe white heels.

“Celebrating my one and only and her wonderful performance on@themorningshow,” she wrote. Paulson had her own achievement to celebrate as she was nominated for outstanding guest actress in a drama series forMr. & Mrs. Smith.
