Hugh Grantdoesn’t thinkDonald Trumpwill be remembered for his acting chops.

During an Oct. 4 appearance onThe Graham Norton Showto promote his upcoming movieHeretic, theWonkaactor, 64, joked that the former president, 78, “always wanted to be in my stuff” when Trump was mentioned.

“So I’m afraid Donald Trump didn’t really register,” Grant said.

When Norton, 61, asked Grant if the former president was nice to him, the actor replied, “All I remember is that a day or two afterward I got a call to say, ‘You’ve been made a member of Trump National New York,’ " which Grant brushed off.

“I don’t remember him greatly as a person,” he concluded.

InTwo Weeks Notice, Trump and Grant’s character George Wade share a scene where they chat briefly at an event about Bullock’s character Lucy Kelson.Mike PiazzaandNorah Jonesalso appear as themselves in the rom-com.

Though Trump served as president from 2017 to 2021, he is also known forhis cameo inHome Alone 2: Lost in New York. The film’s director, Chris Columbus, toldInsiderin 2020 that in order to film at the Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned at the time, theApprenticehost required a cameo.

“Trump said okay,” Columbus recalled. “We paid the fee, but he also said, ‘The only way you can use the Plaza is if I’m in the movie.’ "

“So we agreed to put him in the movie, and when we screened it for the first time the oddest thing happened: People cheered when Trump showed up on screen,” Columbus continued. “So I said to my editor, ‘Leave him in the movie. It’s a moment for the audience.’ "
