Jana Duggar Reveals Stunning Kitchen Update in Nebraska Home She’s Renovating with New Husband

Jana Duggaris revealing new design details in her Nebraska fixer upper!

The formerCounting Onstar, 34, offered a glimpse inside her under-construction kitchen in aYouTube videoshared on Oct. 9. She and her husbandStephen Wissmannhave been renovating the property since before they tied the knot this past August.

In the video, she goes to check out some countertops for the kitchen and later reveals her design vision for the space. She loves a “warm tone” for the cabinetry, she says, and “gold hardware up against these neutral-toned wood floors.”

The TLC star ended up choosing the color “alabaster” for the walls and “accessible beige” for the cabinets. She also revealed which detail she was willing to spend a little extra money on in order to make her kitchen look perfect.

“After going back and forth, I think we’re going to do a quartz backsplash — the same as the countertops,” she explains. “It’s a little bit more of an investment, but we really love the seamless look it makes and it’s something we’re willing to splurge on.”

Later in the video, she shows her sisterJennifer Duggarhelping out with the kitchen as it starts to take shape.

“We are getting progress done here today. Jenny is over here sanding. We’re getting all the cabinets prepped and ready for paint,” she says, adding that her husband will paint the cabinets when he’s back from a work trip.

“There it is,” she says once the project is completed. “The trim around the cabinets is all finished. I felt that it took way longer than I’d anticipated but it’s just so satisfying to step back and see it all done now.”

Jana — who is the eldest daughter ofJim BobandMichelle Duggar’s 19 children — revealed toPEOPLEthat she wasofficially relocating to Wissmann’s hometown in Nebraskaafter the pairtied the knotin Prairie Grove, Ark. in August.

“He has a little house we bought that we’ve been fixing up and getting pulled together, and so that’s been fun,” she said at the time.

Jana has since beensharing an inside look at the renovation projectsthat her dad and siblings have been helping her with. Most recently, her brotherJames Duggarhelped hertackle an issue she ran intowhen the trailer they were using to transport tile and cabinetry from Arkansas to Nebraska became too heavy.
