The actresses, who star together inBeetlejuice Beetlejuice, had a sweet — and totally unplanned — matching moment at theVenice Film Festival.
“We didn’t even talk about it,” Ortega said of the homage. “No, I don’t know if she noticed but it was funny because, we didn’t talk about it all, but we both were wearing tulle skirts so it’s kind of fun that we were mentally intertwined and we didn’t realize it.”

Ortega’s gown consisted of a heart-shaped top and pleated bottom which revealed her platform sandals. She accessorized with a Bois de Rose necklace, bracelet and rings in white gold, pink gold and diamonds of Dior Joaillerie as well as a matching red makeup look.

Ryder’s Chanel ensemble, meanwhile, featured a cropped blazer and vest with contrasting buttons, a white button-up shirt and a floor-grazing skirt.
TheWednesdayactress' look seemingly referenced Ryder’s character Lydia Deetz’s red wedding dress from the original film.
