Jennifer Garner Says She Copied a Famous Costar's Order the First Time She Tried Coffee: 'I Could Taste My Heartbeat'

Jennifer Garnerhad a heart-racing experience the first time she tried coffee.During an appearance onThe Kelly Clarkson Showon Thursday, Oct. 3, Garner, 52, shared the hilarious story of how she had “a very specific first day of coffee day in my life.“As theAliasalum and Clarkson, 42, sipped from their coffee mugs, Garner recounted a time about 30 years ago when she was living in New York City, working at a restaurant and auditioning for acting jobs. She landed a role in an episode ofLaw & Orderto play a potential love interest opposite starBenjamin Bratt.Ahead of filming, Bratt, 60, suggested that the two meet and have coffee together to get to know one another before shooting their scenes.
