During a Monday, Nov. 25 visit on theThe Jennifer Hudson Show, the talk show host brought up his2019 Sexiest Man Alive coverand asked him about that experience.

“I always tell people, ‘You’ve gotta take the good with the bad when you get something like this because if you go on social media when you get this award, there will be a lot of people congratulating you, and then a lot of people like… it should’ve been blah blah blah,” Legend, 45, told Hudson, 43.

He continued, “The best advice I got from people that had gotten it before was just don’t look at your social media.”

Then, Hudson brought up a photo ofJohn Krasinski’s 2024 cover and asked if he shared that advice with him.

“I’m a big fan ofThe Officeso… I’m sure I didn’t have to tell him. He knows a few other ‘Sexiest Men’, and he probably got that same advice,” the “All of Me” singer said.

Legend went on to explain that he knew Krasinski, 45, because he was a producer on his wifeChrissy Teigen’sshowLip Sync Battle

Finally, Hudson asked him who he would like to see on the cover, and he turned the question around on her.

“I wanna seeCommon,” she said of her boyfriend.

Elsewhere in the episode, Legend sat at the piano and performed an improvised song based on a funny photo of his wife, 38.

“I’ma try my best,” Legend said. “I’m really doing this impromptu, y’all. This is not fake, this is real.”

The photo displayed was of Teigen kissing a fish as she stood beside their daughter Luna Simone, 8, and son Miles Theodore, 6.

Legend immediately responded “Oh,” and smiled as he looked at the photo, slowly singing, “Chrissy, oh why are you kissing a fishy?”

Continuing his vocals, the artist sang, “Chrissy, why are you kissing a fishy? Don’t you have a man at home? He’s sitting all alone. Oh, don’t you have a man at home? Leave that fish alone.”

Hudson and Legend also performed a duet of his 2004 song “Ordinary People.”
