John Stamosis addressing negativity surrounding his tribute toDave Coulier.
TMZcaught up with theFull Housealum, 61, and asked him about the reaction to his Nov. 18Instagramphotos with his former costar, 65. The images showed Coulier — who was recently diagnosed withstage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma— with a freshly shaved head. Stamos worea bald capin support.
“I flew across the country to be with my brother, right?” Stamos told TMZ in a video shared Thursday, Nov. 21.

“As I’m on the plane there, I get a text. My best friend, since I’m 11 years old, dies of a heart attack,” he continued, referring to his friendMike Owen.
According to Stamos, he did the best he could to be strong for Coulier who is also going through a challenging time.
“But I’m not gonna show that to Dave. I mean, I told him, but I said that’s done, and cried privately,” he continued.
Once he reunited with Coulier, they “laughed so freaking hard” at his bald cap gesture.
“He wanted me to come shave his head. I knew before, so I brought the bald cap from the studio,” he explained of trying to cheer up Coulier with the surprise.
TheGeneral Hospitalactor added that he’s on a new show, and isn’t allowed to cut his hair due to his filming obligations.
“Regardless, I’m so shocked. First I’ll say, I’m just embarrassed and they’re embarrassing,” Stamos continued.

“I don’t look at stuff [online]. I swear most of the time I don’t, but this one really hurt me mainly because I didn’t understand it,” Stamos said, again urging people to prioritize their health and wellness over gossip.
“But the point is that I’m embarrassed for people that they waste time on this when all I was doing was cheering up a friend, and I’m sorry — I started to say ‘I’m sorry,’ I’m not sorry,” he concluded.
Stamos noted that his visit with Coulier “was incredible.”
